I’m getting a puppy in a few weeks and was wondering what’s the best brand of puppy food for my new puppy?
Benefuls is the best I give it to my dog and he is playful all day. go to a pet sore and if it is a puppy buy the puppy kind.

Iams is the best type of dog food. its more expensive then most but its healthy for the dog. Make sure to get the food for your dogs specific age (its on the food bag)

Purina One. Our dogs have lived for years with this stuff. It is a little pricey, but hey you want the best for your family member right? They have selections from puppy to senior =) good luck!

You want to find a food that has no fillers in it such as corn or by-products. Look at the first 3 ingredients listed on the bag.
I really like Blue Buffalo, but there are a lot of good premium foods out there. Time to do some of your own research to make a good informed decision.
congrats on the pup!

this is a budgetary question… Get food you can afford for the life of the dog. I wouldn’t buy generic garbage, but I also wouldn’t buy top of the line food. You also have to remember that dogs are scavengers and will eat anything they can swallow.

That site is very informative, you should try to base your choice off of that information. They analyze almost every brand and talk about the quality of the ingredients. If you are interested in any specific brand you can search for it on there.
Beneful, Iams, and Purina are all bad foods full of corn and fillers that dogs don’t need. Look for something with meat in the first 3 ingredients and no by-products. Basically anything you can buy in Wal-Mart or grocery stores is not a good food.
